| Computer Associates China to Provide Free Anti-Virus Software

January 27, 1999 (BEIJING) -- Chinese Internet users will receive free
upgraded versions of an anti-virus software package from Computer Associates
(China) Ltd., a computer software company.

The company recently announced that it will email to its customers the
latest anti-virus solutions when a destructive computer virus occurs.
According to Wang Tiejian, deputy director of Computer Associates (China),
by registering at the www.kill.com.cn
Web site, computer users who have already installed KILL software will
get free upgraded versions to combat the latest viruses.
Kill software is said to be capable of coping with more than 20,000 viruses.
It is updated daily, based on about 170 virus sample collection centers
operated by Islandia, N.Y.-based Computer Associates International Inc.
in more than 40 countries.
