  • April 20, 1998 (GUANGZHOU, China) -- The electronics sector in Guangdong province has been growing at a brisk pace of 35 percent a year, according to official statistics.
The sector generated RMB91.2 billion (US$10.9 billion) in production value in 1997, accounting for 25 percent of China's total electronics output.
