  • LG Internet to Offer Online Voice Chat in March
  • February 23, 1998 (SEOUL) -- An Internet online chat service will soon be available in Korea from LG Internet Corp. on its new Channel I service that will start in March.
    The Korean Internet service provider imported its audio chatting software, Vox Chat, from U.S.-based Voxware Inc.

    LG Internet said a maximum of 100 people can participate in a single audio chat session. Also available will be text message functions.

    To be able to use the audio chat service, customers must have a multimedia PC with least a 28.8kbps modem, a microphone and speakers. Also required is software for LG's Channel I connection and Vox Chat.
