  • Toshiba to Market Thinnest Notebook PC, Says President
  • June 23, 1998 (TOKYO) -- Toshiba Corp.'s president Taizo Nishimuro said that his company will market a wide variety of thin notebook personal computers for its summer PC sales campaign. To highlight the campaign, the company will offer the thinnest B5-size notebook PC available on the market.
    He made the statement in a video that was taped for the introduction of Microsof t Co., Ltd.'s Japanese version of Windows 98.

    He added that the company will introduce new A4-size notebook PCs featuring magn esium-alloy bodies and lighter weights.

    Other PC manufacturers will challenge the success of Sony's VAIO Note 505 in the ir summer sales campaigns.
