Ssangyong Info Sells CTI Technology to HP Taiwan

November 26, 1998 (SEOUL) -- Ssangyong Information & Communications Corp.
said Nov. 24 it signed a contract to provide its computer telephony
integration (CTI) technology to Hewlett-Packard Co. in Taiwan.

Under the contract, Ssangyong Information will be a partner in HP's plan
to launch a human resource center for a Taiwan-based company. The name
of the company was not disclosed.
"The CTI method functions as a computerized answering machine that provides
product information to customers," a Ssangyong official said.
"With the deal, Ssangyong hopes to expand its market presence in Southeast
Asia," he also said.
For the past three weeks, Ssangyong Information has been consulting with
the Taiwan-based company on the project. It plans to launch the business
with Hewlett-Packard next year, the Ssangyong official added.
