  • November 26, 1998 (SEOUL) -- Ssangyong Information & Communications Corp. said Nov. 24 it signed a contract to provide its computer telephony integration (CTI) technology to Hewlett-Packard Co. in Taiwan.
Under the contract, Ssangyong Information will be a partner in HP's plan to launch a human resource center for a Taiwan-based company. The name of the company was not disclosed.

"With the deal, Ssangyong hopes to expand its market presence in Southeast Asia," he also said.

For the past three weeks, Ssangyong Information has been consulting with the Taiwan-based company on the project. It plans to launch the business with Hewlett-Packard next year, the Ssangyong official added.
