Sega to Introduce Dreamcast Video Game Machine on Nov. 27

October 15, 1998 (TOKYO) -- Sega Enterprises Ltd. announced that it will
start retail sales of its new home video game machine called Dreamcast
on Nov. 27.

The Dreamcast device has been drawing public attention as a next-generation
video game machine, and will be priced at 29,800 yen (US$250).
Five game software programs will be introduced at the same time as the
hardware, and a new software program will be added every week from Nov.
27 to the end of this year. The software programs will be priced at
5,800 yen (US$50).
In conjunction with the announcement, leading software vendors said that
they will develop game software programs for Dreamcast.
Capcom Co., Ltd., a leading video game software vendor, announced its
intention to develop a follow-up of the BIO HAZARD 2 game, although
it has not yet decided when the game will be marketed.
Namco Ltd. also disclosed its move to develop game software programs
for the Dreamcast machine.
