Future System, Cambridge Tech to Link for IT Financial Consulting
|
September 9, 1998 (TOKYO) -- Future System Consulting Inc., a system
integrator, announced Sept. 2 that it had joined forces with Cambridge
Technology Partners Ltd. to provide consulting services to financial
institutions.
|
Cambridge Technology Partners Ltd. is the Japanese unit of U.S.-based
Cambridge Technology Partners, which specializes in advice on IT issues
for financial institutions.
A spokesman for Future System Consulting said that the joint venture
will provide IT consulting to financial institutions that must merge
or downsize.
He said the joint venture also will offer systems needed for electronic
commerce and Internet trading.
Last year, Future System Consulting, which has many clients in the distribution
sector, sought a foreign consulting partner that possessed substantial
experience in this field. It had wanted to build a foothold in the financial
industry.
Meanwhile, Cambridge Technology Partners was planning to expand its business
in Japan. It was looking for a partner because expansion required more
engineers. The needs of the two parties are being met through the joint
venture.
Hitoshi Yoshida, president of Cambridge Technology, said that the collaboration
is possible because Future System Consulting met the requirement of
having the potential to revolutionize the system integration market.
Yoshida said that the two firms hope to meet demand by developing services
quickly and providing them to users without relying on hardware and
software vendors.
