Sino-Japanese Bearing Venture Opens in Dalian, China
|
September 16, 1998 (DALIAN, China) -- The Dalian THK Co., Ltd., a Sino-Japanese
bearing joint venture, recently opened in this major port city in northeastern
China.

The joint venture was established by the Wazhou Group, China's major
bearing manufacturing group, and THK Co of Japan, one of the world's
leading motive power products manufacturers, at a cost of US$29.9 million.
The Chinese partner holds 30 percent of the total shares in the new venture.
The joint venture, the first that THK has established in China, will
use imported technology and processing equipment to produce high-tech
bearing products. The plants will export approximately 90 percent of
its total output.
