Apple Computer to Set Up Korean Branch in October
|
September 18, 1998 (SEOUL) -- Apple Computer Inc. said it will set up
a branch office in Korea in October to conduct on-the-spot marketing.

Until now, the U.S. computer maker has been supplying its computers through
Korean partner Elex Computer Inc., also a computer vendor
Apple is to make a public announcement of its plans on Sept. 21.
Elex has been recommending that Apple open a branch office since it first
began local distribution in 1980.
Elex said it will continue marketing Apple products, with support from
the new branch.
