| Hyundai Electronics to Export TFT-LCD Monitors to Japan

December 22, 1998 (SEOUL) -- Hyundai Electronics Industries Co., Ltd.
received an order worth 100 billion won (US$81 million) to supply 15-in.
thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) monitors to a
Japanese computer company, a Hyundai spokesman said.

The spokesman declined to reveal the name of the computer company.
Hyundai said it plans an initial shipment to the Japanese firm of 10,000
TFT-LCD monitors, no later than January 1999.
