China Law Consultancy Network Goes Online in Beijing
|
January 20, 1999 (BEIJING) -- The China Law Consultancy Network, which
provides comprehensive legal services to citizens and corporations,
opened recently at the Web address of www.counsel.com.cn.
|
The network is hosted by leading Chinese jurists.
In addition to the Chinese language, the Web site also features English,
French, Japanese and Russian content.
The Web site aims to provide legal services for those with issues concerning
investment in or trade with China, or other concerns relating to copyrights,
finance, real estate, education and travel.
More than 10 jurists were invited by the network to expound on "major
and important" cases, analyze hot topics relating to law and order,
and answer questions from Web site visitors.
The experts include top criminal law professor Gao Mingxuan, leading
procedural law professor Chen Guangzhong and copyright law professor
Zheng Chengsi.
One of the major highlights of the network is its "help hotline," which
provides consulting services to the public.
Also, lawyers will find the Web site to be useful because it has a powerful
and authoritative databank on existing Chinese laws, administrative
regulations, legal explanations by the Supreme Court and Supreme Procuratorate,
as well as local legislation.
Information on the Web site will be updated on a daily basis, according
to an official at the network.
